(More customer reviews)i had the Kenwood mp345u for a few days (it was awful. see my review) and replaced it with this unit. install was a breeze. the color of the buttons/display is fully color customizable which, having had clashing colors on the kenwood that drove my nuts, i now realize is an important feature. a real safety feature is the EQ button. push this button for access to bass, mid , and treble. simple. no hunting 10 sub-menus deep to turn the bas down a notch as you drive up onto a sidewalk or plow into a school bus. it sounds pretty good. the preset EQs aren't great but that's okay. puts out pretty good power - better than the kenwood. a USB stick works great and is easy enough to search thru. still having trouble getting the HU to allow me to control the ipod from the ipod itself. i have my backlight/display set with a black background that is very easy to read (hard to explain this one). for the price the JVC is all win. plus RCA jacks to hook up a sub ++ :)
